…to prepare for your reclaimed project

We take our sourcing seriously — to bring you the best in mantels, flooring, shelving and more.

Every board has a story. We salvage timber from century-old barns, snow fence, and industrial buildings across the Rockies, then mill, dry, and finish it in our Wheat Ridge shop — ready to become the centerpiece of your home.

What we make

A board for every corner of the home.

Why reclaimed

Old wood is better wood — and it's already here.

Carbon already spent

A reclaimed beam is carbon that's been locked up for a century. Using it again is the lowest-impact way to build with real wood.

Old-growth density

Tight grain from trees that grew slowly in the 1800s — denser, harder, and more dimensionally stable than anything milled today.

Character you can't fake

Nail holes, saw kerf, weather checks, mineral stain. A surface no factory finish can replicate.

Traceable sourcing

Every load is documented back to the structure it came from — barn, fence line, factory floor — within the Rocky Mountain West.

Who we work with

From a single mantel to a 20,000-board-foot order.

Residential remodels

Mantels, accent walls, flooring, and shelving for homes in Denver, Boulder, Aspen, and the Front Range.

New construction

Wide-plank floors and structural-grade beams milled to architect spec, delivered on schedule.

Restaurants & retail

Bar tops, wall cladding, and statement ceilings that feel rooted — not themed.

Designers & builders

Sample boxes, trade pricing, and direct contact with the mill. No middlemen, no guessing on availability.

From barn to baseboard

Four steps, no shortcuts.

01

Salvage

We hand-pick timbers from century-old barns, snow fence, and industrial buildings across the Rocky Mountain West.

02

De-Nail & Inspect

Every board is pulled, de-nailed, and graded for soundness, character, and grain — nothing goes to the kiln unchecked.

03

Kiln & Mill

Slow-dried to a stable 6–8% moisture, then milled to spec on our own line — floors, mantels, beams, boards.

04

Finish & Deliver

Sanded, finished, and delivered to your door or installer. Most local orders ship within two weeks.

Where it comes from

Sourced across the Rocky Mountain West.

We don't buy containers off the coast. Every load on our yard came off a structure we walked, photographed, and pulled apart ourselves.

Reclaimed wood mantel installation

A family operation

Father, son, and a lot of old timber.

QuarterSawn started in 2019 with one truck, one barn, and the idea that the wood holding up the West deserves a second life.

Today we hand-pick every load that comes through our Wheat Ridge yard. If a board makes it onto our floor, it earned the spot.

Sarah K., Boulder CO
"Tight tolerances on 1,200 sqft of wide-plank floors. Installer said it was the cleanest reclaimed stock he'd seen."
Mark T., Denver CO
"We came in with a Pinterest board, left with a plan. Worth the drive from Fort Collins."

Frequently asked

Answers before you ask.

Where does your wood come from?

+

We hand-source from old barns, snow fence, and industrial buildings across Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakotas — never from anywhere we can't trace.

Is reclaimed wood stable for floors?

+

Yes. Every board is kiln-dried in our shop to 6–8% moisture and acclimated before delivery. That's a furniture-grade spec — well below what most new flooring ships at.

Can I visit the yard?

+

Absolutely. Our Wheat Ridge showroom has full sample walls for flooring, siding, and mantel stock. Appointments preferred but walk-ins welcome.

Do you ship outside Colorado?

+

We deliver locally on our own trucks and ship LTL freight across the lower 48. Reach out with your zip and we'll quote it.
